There is this picture of a very young mother of two circulating online, who doubles as a university student and also a  trotro mate.

Producer of Asaase radio found this picture of Akorfa on a trotro doing his work as usual and decided to invite her over and have a conversation with her. During the interview Akorda disclosed she had two kids and that she have to do the trotro mate job to take care of herself in school and that of her kids 

Her words below;

"Now, I am a single mother of two simply because I didn’t listen to my mother’s advice. I have to work as a trotro mate just to see myself out of school and take care of my kids too.”

She also added the young ladies out there shouldn’t use unemployment and hardship to be doing unnecessary things which will hunt or and destroy their lives.

“When life give you lemon, turn them into lemonades.”

Lemon in this proverbial phrase simply means hardship since lemon is sour and turning them into lemonades means making a great turn or a desirable outcome out of your hardship.

She went on to disclose she got pregnant at age 17 years after completing junior high school, simply because she was adamant and didn’t listen to her parents advice. The mother of two who is also a student of the University of Ghana added that she tried committing suicide several times but always end up being saved by someone.
