A Nigerian couple is making rounds on social media and this time for the bad reason.
A 28-year-old man identified as okwuchukwu ibekwe along with his wife has been arrested by the Nigerian police force for allegedly selling their 5months old baby to a child buying merchant for 400,000 naira. According to me okwuchukwu he good the child due to financial crisis and that he consulted his wife and they both agreed to sell him.
According to sources they sold the child to one chinelo who stays around ihiala in Anambra state. The merchant gave Mr okwuchukwu 250,000 naira for himself and 150,000 naira was to be given to his wife.
However upon reaching him from ihiala Mr okwuchukwu decided not to give his wife her share and that cost him. The wife quickly reported the case to the police about her missing child and went into hiding.
The police quickly arrested and okwuchukwu, followed by chinelo’s wife and later okwuchukwu was arrested. Me okwuchukwu further added that, the merchant only gave him 250,000 naira out if the 400,000 and that as at now he do not know the whereabouts of his son and the merchant.
Investigations is still ongoing and chinelo the merchant's wife is still in police custody to help assist the police in finding her husband.
