Kissi Adjabeng, the Special Prosecutor, said his office is committed to fighting corruption through prosecutions and asset recovery.

His agency expects to be able to chronicle corruption and name and shame peddlers of corruption thanks to a new corruption league table planned to be released later this year.

He declared on Tuesday that governmental institutions will be listed with the most corrupt.

"We are aware of numerous corruption rankings, scores, and polls that are being conducted. However, it all boils down to the type of the data acquired and how it is used. "To summarize, we will be documenting corruption, measuring corruption, determining the breeding of corruption, naming and shaming corrupt peddlers, examining the impact of anti-corruption initiatives, and taking curative and remedial measures to combat corruption through prosecutions and asset recovery and management."

"It's time to retool our reformation by prodding our public sector into real and concrete action against corruption and corrupt practices," Mr Adjabeng said, adding that "it's time to move beyond the composite annual ranking of countries on a corruption drop list to own our local narrative and fashion and retool Our reformation by prodding our public sector into real and concrete action against corruption and corrupt practices."

The league table is part of the OSP's efforts to identify the factors that promote corruption in the public sector in order to aid in its prevention.
