As summer transfer rumors continue to heat up, Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland is said to have approached Arsenal midfielder and Norway teammate Martin Odegaard for guidance on Real Madrid.
As speculation about his future grows, Erling Haaland has interviewed Arsenal player Martin Odegaard about life in Real Madrid.
Haaland, 21, is one of the hottest properties in international football, and owing to a release clause in his contract, he will be available for a bargain £63 million this summer. Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are just a few of the clubs interested in securing the Norwegian's talents.
There is no clear favorite in the competition to sign Haaland, but only a few teams have the financial resources to make a long-term contract work. Real Madrid is one of these clubs, and it now appears that the attacker has enquired of his Norway teammate Odegaard about life at the club.
Odegaard joined Los Blancos from Stromsgodset in 2015, so he knows his way around the Spanish metropolis. Odegaard made 11 appearances in the famed all white of Real despite having multiple loan periods away from the Bernabeu before joining Arsenal.
While on international service with Norway, he acknowledged that he and Haaland discussed Madrid, saying: "We are excellent friends, so we discuss a variety of topics, such as when I was there. So, yes, we discussed it, but it's nothing exceptional."
