A campaign for global peace has been launched by the Centre of Awareness-Global Peace Mission, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting world peace.

The money will go toward a five-year strategic strategy to promote global peace. A total of 24 automobiles for the campaign have already been acquired.

Professor Samuel Ato Duncan, the Founder and President-General of COA-GPM, described the campaign as a selfless movement dedicated to world peace.

Lecture to the public

At COA's Fourth Public Lecture in Cape Coast yesterday, Prof. Duncan launched the campaign as part of a five-year strategic action plan for world peace to hundreds of individuals from throughout the country.

"Targeting Leadership Across the Globe to Achieve Global Peace" was the topic of the speech. He also established a foundation to support initiatives that promote peace.

Prof. Duncan described the approach as a non-political purpose dedicated to bringing peace to the globe and making the world a better place for everyone, as well as insuring the realization of God's original design for man.

He stated that the demand for peace was directed at leaders, particularly political leaders, because they were elected to power and were required to defend the people who were most harmed by conflict.

The COA-founder GPM's and president-general also used the opportunity to urge on international leaders to do more to promote peace.

Anywhere there is war, there is war.

Prof. Duncan stated that conflict affects people everywhere and made a heartfelt plea for a successful peace process, particularly to the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.
