According to MyNewsGh.com, three brothers drowned in the Odo river at Barekese in the Atwima Nwabiagya Atwima Nwabiagya South District of the Ashanti Region.
The bodies of the two victims have been recovered, according to an eyewitness, Paul Knitoh, who confirmed the tragic incident. Divers are assisting in the search for the third person.
According to him, the deceased, who were between the ages of nine and eleven, and their brothers went to the river to swim but drowned after attempting to save a drowning person.
The bodies of the two have been put in the mortuary of the Offinso Government Hospital for autopsy.
