Youth in the Ashanti area can receive training in a variety of careers in the arts and tourist industries. The Big Ghana Project is a training program designed to provide adolescents with marketable skills.

Basket weaving, fascinator and tiara creation, baking, beaded jewelry, and soap making will be among the skills taught to participants. Techno Genesis Ghana, an indigenous African global internet marketing business, spearheaded the campaign.

The Multimedia Group and the Centre for National Culture-Kumasi are partners in the initiative. The first group of trainees will arrive at the Centre for National Culture's Visual Art Department on May 9 to begin their training.

With the recent difficulty in finding work, Head of Department David Anokye urges the students.  "The entire world is in a position where it is difficult to find compensated work. We are a center that promotes cognitive training that involves both the hands and the intellect. Big Project Ghana decided it would be beneficial to work with us. It is conceivable to move young people from where they are now so that they may work and support themselves," he remarked.
