Globe Productions, run by playwright Latif Abubakar, is set to wow theatregoers with a performance at the end of the month. The show, which attempts to educate consumers about societal concerns, will center on human trafficking and child labor.

The production, which would include humor, music, and dancing, would also address why Santa Claus is out here while Christmas is still seven months away.

Synopsis

The play, titled "Christmas-In-May," relates the narrative of four young adults in difficult circumstances who were duped into going somewhere unknown, and their leader is apprehended. They did, however, manage to flee, only to be confronted with yet another unknown.

There is something in the soup when Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, appears well before the Yuletide. It indicates that something uncommon is taking place, and the play will reveal the secret.

Motivation

Mr. Abubakar stated that the increased interest of patrons, as well as the good influence of his plays on society, has prompted the production team to continue with the tri-annual performances and regional tours.

"With an enhancement in the quality and humour of our shows in the years ahead, we want to touch more lives," he said.

Legendary actor Fred Amugi, Jeffrey Nanor, Abraham MacPratt Dadzie, Shelter Say, Bright Kekeli Djangmah, and Samira Suhini Farouk star in Globe Productions' 79th production. It will be shown in the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 4:00pm and 8:00pm, respectively.

Tickets

Tickets for the show cost GHC80.00 and may be purchased at the following locations: Airport Shell, Baatsona Total, and Joy FM. Alternatively, consumers can purchase tickets by dialing *447*1092# or calling 0275027000.
