A suspected gunman has been killed by the military personnel of Ghana. He was said to have tried entering the church while in possession of a gun. The threat of a terrorist attack in Ghana is becoming scary day in and day out, hence the military of ghana is up and ready to attack anyone who tries to shake the stability and serenity peace the nation is enjoying.
Just a few days after gunmen stormed a church in Nigeria and massacred over 50 worshippers, a similar tragedy might have unfolded in Bawku in the Upper East Region. The vigilance of locals and security personnel posted to that part of the country averted any horrific incident.
These terrorist are on the rise and are causing mass destruction in some parts of the world, Nigeria us one of the African countries experiencing terrorist attacks this year, first it was Boko haram, followed by a bomb attack at a school and recently suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked a church, shooting everyone one inside which led to about 50 people dying instantly and several others wounded.
A man who is suspected to be in his early 30’s was seen trying to enter a church, the style of his dress draw attention And alerted Ghanaians at the scene to the government's alert of “see something say something”. The individuals quickly reached out to military officials and they arrived in no time. Upon confronting him, they found a gun properly sealed in the Bible he was holding and in addition, bullets were also retrieved from the safety vest he was wearing.
What led to him getting killed is not yet known, but other sources revealed the military suspected him to be a terrorist hence gunning him down.
