Popular Nigerian music duo P-square was considered one of the best music groups in Africa and internationally, having brought over 10 hits to the music scene. Some of their popular hits songs include personally, Alingo, bring it on, and others. They had the recognition and fame and were on the verge of rising to stardom when due to unknown issues they had to split up. Their split-up cane was a shock in 2017 but no one knew the actual reason and they has to go solo as Rudeboy (Paul Okoye) and Mr p (Peter Okoye).
In a new interview with entertainment journalist Joey Akpan, Rudeboy reveals the actual cause of their split. Speaking on the matter the “audio money” hitmaker made the following remarks;
kept silent. I never said anything, because I knew what the problems were. It was a family issue, and it turned out that Psquare had to pay for it“. He further added that their split was not a result of musical issues as it was been speculated.
However, the brothers reconcile in November 2021 and they are back on tour and have promised fans new music soon. They have announced their reunion world tour, they will be touring Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the UK.
Upon their split, news began traveling that their wives were the cause of their split because the media can't but the idea of twin brothers who have achieved so lunch for themselves and are on their way to stardom would just split and decide to go solo. None of the two came out to address the claims in those times, however recently Paul Okoye better known as Rudebwoy gave fans a sneak peek of what happened between them. He added that it was a family issue but he owes no one explanation which was why he didn't come out to address the case all these years. He further urges fans to keep supporting them as they are back now and promised fans more music soon.
