According to Catalan newspaper El Nacional, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has joined Barcelona in the hunt to sign Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix.

The Parisians are expected to lose Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer to Real Madrid this summer, according to Julien Laurens of ESPN, pushing them to start looking for replacements now.

Felix has been identified as a possible target. According to Foot Mercato, his representative Jorge Mendes met with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to discuss a possible transfer to Paris.

This will be the 22-year-third old's season with the Rojiblancos. However, he has yet to secure a starting spot in Diego Simeone's squad, and in such a position, he may consider leaving.

PSG will face competition from Barcelona, who have been pursuing the Portuguese international for some time. He is valued at €70 million by Transfermarkt.com.

According to Eurosport, they attempted to trade him for Antoine Griezmann last summer, but no deal was reached, despite the club's continued interest in Felix. In the recent past, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has shown his respect for the player (footballtransfers.com). However, much hinges on the Catalans' ability to purge undesired players from the roster and collect finances to support a transfer.

Felix joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica in 2019 for a club-record €126 million transfer fee, but he has yet to live up to his lofty price tag.

He's only scored 29 goals and added 15 assists in 111 games.

Darwin Nunez is also on PSG's radar.

Darwin Nunez, who had a career season with Benfica, is another player on PSG's radar.

This season, the Uruguayan has 34 goals in 41 games across all competitions, which has piqued the interest of several European clubs.

Newcastle United made a €60 million bid for Nunez, according to Foot Mercato, but Nunez prefers to play at the Parc des Princes because he wants to play in the Champions League. PSG is also interested in Paul Pogba, who is expected to depart Manchester United as a free agent this summer.

Despite the fact that he is not a forward like the aforementioned players, the Parisians are interested in his services, despite tough competition from his old club Juventus.

According to transfer specialist Nicolo Schira, the Bianconeri, with whom he spent four years until 2016, have made a greater bid for him and will keep trying to persuade him to return to Turin.
