Listing the types of firms that are eligible for loans under the YAWS program. Absa Bank has even gone above and above to cover many of the related charges that businesses face when seeking loans in Ghana. The MOU, for example, permits GUTA enterprises to get loans of up to GHC500,000 without collateral and GHC1,000,000 without collateral for women-owned businesses, with a 1% discount for other qualified businesses.

"What Absa Bank has done is a welcome gesture in the government's effort to empower and support small firms as they contribute to the country's economic progress." I'd want to encourage the traders and businesspeople assembled today to concentrate on how to properly manage your business's returns in order to assure success.

Continuity and sustainability Let us avoid wasting money on perishable things and instead investment in the business,' remarked Honorable Nana Ama Dokuah, Deputy Minister and special guest of honor at the MOU signing event.

The merchants' expressions at the event radiated confidence and enthusiasm at the potential of seeing their businesses evolve as a result of the partnership. Absa Bank projected films of past loan borrowers giving tales of their change on the screens to add to the atmosphere in the room. These movies performed a great job of reaffirming the partnership's feasibility and providing a call to action.

Managing Director, Abena Osei-Poku, spoke enthusiastically about the relationship with GUTA, highlighting what the two organizations have in common.

What a partnership with GUTA implies for the bank.

"I hope that by the end of this session and the signing of the MOU, you will have no doubt about Absa's commitment to stand by your side and ensure your success and growth, allowing you to fully participate in the enormous opportunity that the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AFCTA) presents." We intend to take this opportunity to solidify our position as your go-to bank for all of your banking requirements and expectations."

So, whether you run a micro-enterprise or a medium-sized firm in Ghana, you don't have to worry about not having enough money to expand and diversify. The cooperation between Absa and the Mastercard Foundation is ending.
