The Calcio Trade Ball, organised by the football talent agency company ArthurLegacy, had its fourth edition in Accra on Saturday, and it was a night of pure ecstasy, glitz, and elegance.
Some of the top football stars on the continent, as well as representatives from the diplomatic, business, and corporate worlds, gathered for the largest African football agency company's annual event, which was hosted at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City.
The event this year highlighted the particular relationship between the ArthurLegacy brand and the Italian Embassy in Accra, as well as how both organisations have worked over time to guarantee smooth facilitation of unique Ghana-Italy economic links using football as a platform.
Speaking at the ceremony this year, Daniela d' Orlandi, the ambassador of Italy to Ghana, stated that Italy's presence in Ghanaian football history is one that genuinely inspires and has established a foundation that continues to bear fruit.
She continued by saying that the Italian government sees in ArthurLegacy a strategic partner who over the years has carried out this brilliantly and looks forward to more of the same.
She asserts that organisations like ArthurLegacy have improved commercial links between Italy and Ghana, and she strongly urges other members of the diplomatic community to do the same.
Reiterating her thoughts, a lifelong employee of ArthurLegacy named Madam Ama Bawuah urged the business world to welcome the brand, arguing that every nation should supplement its economy with football.
"Football presents countless chances. I can attest to its reality, and I am confident that if we all work together to promote the ArthurLegacy brand, we can stimulate the required economic growth.
Oliver Arthur, the founder of ArthurLegacy, stated that his company will keep making investments in the game to support emerging talent.
"What we have accomplished and are celebrating today would not have been possible without the help of nearly everyone in this room. Although it is not a simple process, we gladly carry it out. As we alter life, we will keep looking for chances for the next football players.
Kathleen Arthur, general manager of ArthurLegacy, reaffirmed the brand's achievements and how they represent the hopes of several families.
"At ArthurLegacy, we do more than simply scout for football teams, train players, manage teams, and make transactions. We carry the hopes of hundreds of people who want to use sports to help athletes, their communities, and the families they come from change their lives. We have been constant in our efforts, and we plan to finish the job.
According to Kathleen, "the lives of these players and their families are shaped in ways that are unthinkable because of what we do and do so well, and for us, that is the bigger gratification we get.
"We want to continue assisting in the realisation of these footballers' hopes and goals over the course of the next ten years. We hope to be the catalyst for some of these athletes' enduring success. ArthurLegacy will always be present in Ghana's talent ecosystem, which has a big reservoir of talent.
Andre Dede Ayew, the captain of the Black Stars, took home the top prize at this year's Calcio Trade Ball (CTB), the Order of the Star. Andre praised ArthurLegacy and the Italian Embassy for the gesture and urged others to support opening doors for more Ghanaian football talent.
