FEMALE MINISTER, ONE MORE IN COURT OVER VISA EXTORTION

A woman Pastor and a broker have been put under the watchful eye of an Accra Circuit Court for purportedly swindling two beauticians of GHC 33,000.00.

Vivian Norman, the Pastor and Isaac Asare, a broker, are claimed to have gathered the cash to help them get Albanian visas for the two beauticians so they could go to any of the European Countries for greener fields yet fizzled.

Asare has been accused of two counts of cheating by bogus notions.

Vivian is confronting a charge of abetment of wrongdoing.

They have argued not liable to the charges and are on GHC30,000 bail with two guarantees to be legitimate.

They are supposed to return on August 2 under the watchful eye of the court directed by Mrs Afia Owusua Appiah.

Portraying current realities of the case, Inspector Wisdom Alorwu, said the complainant Sedro Esinam Venessa and Celestine Kpetsigo were beauticians living at Abelemkpe, Accra.

The indictment said Asare dwelled at Ablekuma and Vivian inhabited Oyarifa.

It said in June 2021, the complainants needed to make a trip to any of the European nations looking for greener fields.

The arraignment said the complainants moved toward Vivian who was their minister and she informed them that she knew Asare as somebody who helped planned explorers to travel abroad.

It said Vivian then, at that point, acquainted Asare with the complainants and he guaranteed them of getting Albanian visas at an expense of GHC50,000 per candidate.

The indictment said the blamed people persuaded the complainants to make installment for handling of their visas, which would be prepared in a month.

It said Asare gathered GHC22,800 and GHC10,200 from Esinam and Celestine individually.

It said Asare, subsequent to gathering the cash neglected to get the visa and crawled under a rock.

On December 16, 2021, the denounced people met the complainants at the congregation premises and the two charged people had a composed endeavor that their visas would be prepared in a month.

However, the charged people couldn't satisfy their commitment and on February 7, this year, a report was made at the Regional Criminal Investigations, Accra.

The arraignment said Asare was engaged with a comparative matter and was remanded at the Accra Central Police Station where he was distinguished by the complainants.

At the point when Asare was captured, he referenced one Isaac Asante as his accessory.

Vivian was attracted and seized by the Police.

The indictment said endeavors were being made to capture the said Asante.
