Sulley Muntari wants to assist the Black Stars

Sulley Muntari, a former Inter and AC Milan midfielder, is anxious to rejoin the Black Stars and assist the team in preparation for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Muntari hasn't played for the Black Stars since 2014. He spent the 2021–2022 season in Ghana, where he assisted Hearts of Oak in winning the MTN FA Cup.

According to the Ghana Football Association, Muntari was handed an indefinite suspension and kicked out of the team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after launching an unjustified physical attack on Moses Armah, the manager of the Black Stars at the time.

According to the GFA, Muntari was given an extended suspension and kicked out of the team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil for an unjustified physical attack on Moses Armah, who was then in charge of the Black Stars.

The 37-year-old apologized in 2016, but he hasn't received an invitation to return. But he hasn't given up.

"I'll surely run and go even if Ghana asks me to help today when I'm on crutches.

As Muntari stated on GTV, "I would sit and participate even if I am unable to play.

In his prime, Muntari was one of Ghana's top players, helping the Black Stars reach three straight World Cups from 2006 to 2014.

The former Sunderland player has 84 senior national team appearances and 20 goals.

He assisted Internazionale in winning the Serie A championship in 2008-09 and the Champions League in 2009-10 while he was there. Additionally, he was a member of Portsmouth's FA Cup-winning squad in 2007–2008. Muntari played for the Ghana national team for more than 80 times after earning his full international status in 2002. He was also chosen for three FIFA World Cups and two Africa Cup of Nations competitions.
