Liverpool is 'negotiating' for a £68 million Brazilian as Jürgen Klopp faces a battle with Real Madrid
According to reports, Liverpool and Ajax are in negotiations on a £68 million deal, and Jürgen Klopp is a big fan of a player who is also desired by Real Madrid.
Sheyi Ojo, a former Liverpool winger who was released by the Reds this summer at the conclusion of his contract and had previously spent time on loan at Rangers with Steven Gerrard, has agreed to join Cardiff City.
Ojo has agreed to a two-year contract with the Championship team, one of the seven clubs he visited while on loan from Anfield.
While Liverpool were never going to be the long-term home for the 25-year-old where he could play frequently, to be able to provide that, a second-tier side could be ideal.
Battle for Real Madrid transfers
Jude Bellingham, according to Spanish reports (via Anfield Central), is a key target for Real Madrid next summer, which means Liverpool will face stiff competition to get the Borussia Dortmund player.
Liverpool would not want to lose Bellingham to the La Liga and European champions after missing out on Aurélien Tchouaméni to Real Madrid this summer.
Bellingham was a player Jürgen Klopp liked earlier in the week, and the only reason a summer transfer isn't possible is because the England midfielder isn't available.

Although it's thought that Ajax might let Antony leave for closer to €65m (£55m), his asking price is reportedly around €80m (£68m).
Despite Jürgen Klopp repeatedly asserting that the Reds' business is ended, Yahoo Sport in Brazil (via Sport Witness) reports that Liverpool have been in contact with both Ajax and the player and that a deal this summer may be forthcoming.
Though it appears improbable that Antony will end up donning a Liverpool jersey, a transfer away from Ajax is reportedly "quite likely" given that he plays the same position as Mohamed Salah.
