The smooth conclusion of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 2022 National Delegates Conference has been hailed as a victory for everybody, according to Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen.

He said that the annual event, which witnessed the election of new national leadership for the party, was well-organized, and that this should be seen more as a victory for the NPP than anything else.

In a statement made available to GhanaWeb, he stated, "The peaceful and well-organized character of the National Annual Delegates Conference for the election of new national executives to handle the business of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a significant success for the party."

The NPP's top official urged all of the candidates who were unsuccessful for the various posts to keep trying and focus on strengthening the party rather than giving up.

"To advance the party and win by breaking the 8, we must have every hand on deck, the speaker said.

As the NPP moves toward the "Break the 8" objective in 2024, Alan Kyerematen further urged the party's new officials to promote even more cohesion and inclusivity inside the organisation.

He praised Justin Frimpong Kodua, who was chosen as the new general secretary, and Stephen Ayesu Ntim, who was recently elected as the NPP's chairman, for their hard-fought triumphs.

He said, "I encourage our new party leadership to assure newness, attractiveness, and optimism in our great party and once again call for more openness to build real unity.

In order to prevent supporters of candidates who lost the election from turning their disappointment into indifference, Alan Kyerematen encouraged the new executive body to get to work right away and accept their support. We are all part of a larger event.

"It would be detrimental to the party's success if we let the election's outcomes to serve as a catalyst for division. Every one of us must continue to be a patriot.
