COURT SUSPENDS MURDER PRELIMINARY OF LATE J.B. DANQUAH ADU

An Accra High Court hearing the homicide instance of late J.B. Danquah Adu, a previous Abuakwa North Member of Parliament has suspended preliminary.

The suspension of the preliminary is to empower the court to lead a smaller than usual preliminary in regard of all assertions of both blamed people - Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bossu, which were taken at the Police station.

Mr Raymond Felli, who held the brief of Mr Yaw Dankwah for the blamed individual protested the offering for the assertions of the denounced people by Case Investigator, Detective Chief Inspector Augustus Nkrumah, in proof.

Mr Felli had a problem with the offering of the assertion of the charged people saying the assertions were made under coercion, danger, and barbaric conditions.

Mrs Batsa who addressed the State said the proclamations as demonstrated by the observer (Chief Inspector Nkrumah) in his proof, were given willfully and within the sight of free observers.

As per her, the charged people additionally affixed their marks after same had been guaranteed.

She said the explanations were taken as per the arrangements in the Evidence Act.

Mrs Batsa battled that the complaint by guard counsel was "only a ploy to postpone the smooth advancement of this case."

The court directed by Mrs Justice Lydia Osei Marfo held that "considering the complaint raised by counsel for the charged people, there is the need to lead smaller than normal preliminary to learn the conditions of all assertions of both denounced people taken by the Police at the Police Station

This exercise is to be managed by the court alone. The principal preliminary is suspended, and the jury released.

Daniel Asiedu, the principal blamed individual is being investigated for supposedly killing the late MP for Abuakwa North without hesitating at his home at Shaishie in February 2016.

Asiedu is being investigated with Vincent Bossu.

Asiedu has been accused of homicide and burglary.

Bossu and Asiedu are together being held over a charge of connivance.

They have argued not blameworthy before a seven-part jury.

The court has remanded them into legal authority.

The matter has been dismissed to July 21.
