The right back is already closing in on 350 appearances for the Ibrox men after joining from Wigan back in 2015. Relationships between the Ibrox hierarchy and Tavernier are very close and that is set to continue as he attempts to help the Ibrox men reclaim their Premiership title. The news came as Calvin Bassey admitted he didn't have to think twice about leaving Ibrox after his stunning record-breaking move to Dutch giants Ajax. The 22-year-old gushed over his new side's Champions League prospects as he completed a meteoric rise after a stunning second half of the season at Ibrox. Speaking out for the first time since completing the move, Bassey told Ajax's YouTube channel: "It made sense for me when I got the call, you didn't have to ask me twice - there was no doubt at all about making the move. "I can't really put it into words really, it does just feel amazing to be here. "It's only now that it starts to feel real."
