State School for Deaf celebrates organizer

 

The administration and understudies of the State School for the Deaf have commended the tradition of its pioneer, Dr. Seth Lawrence Tetteh-Ocloo, on his 90th birthday celebration.

 

The festival was to respect Dr. Tetteh-Ocloo for his vision and commitment to the schooling of the talking and hearing weakened residents of the country.

 

At the birthday slam at the school's premises at Adjei-Kojo, a suburb of Tema on Saturday, Headteacher of the School, Isaac Authur, expressed however for the foundation of the school in 1957, many would have been uninformed.

 

As per Mr. Arthur, the commitment of Dr. Tetteh-Ocloo has earned a lot of respect, particularly in the Ghana Education Service (GES) bringing about the difference in name of the school from the State School of the Deaf to now Tetteh-Ocloo State School of the Deaf.

We should simply say that May God favor you and give long life so you see the product of your work bear more natural products," Mr. Arthur, the 10th headteacher of the school said.

 

On his part, Dr. Tetteh-Ocloo valued every one of the people that helped him in satisfying his fantasy about aiding the hard of hearing local area beginning around 1957.
