The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) is recommending firms to reassess their marketing strategy in light of the present environmental and economic concerns in order to stay competitive.According to its president, Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee, Ghanaian companies should review the components of their marketing mix and make sure that they are combined in the best way possible for organisational success.
Speaking at the 33rd CIMG Annual National Marketing Performance Awards introduction, he pleaded with companies to avoid slashing marketing costs during lean times since strong marketing communications are essential for generating demand for their goods. "We urge companies to review their marketing and business goals for the upcoming year. In light of the current environmental obstacles and challenges, reformulate and realign your tactics.
Avoid decreasing marketing expenses during tough times since strong marketing communications are essential for increasing demand for your items, the expert said.
The awards will continue to be reviewed and new elements added to guarantee its relevance and excitement, according to Theodore Osae, Vice President of CIMG and Chairman of the Awards Planning and Selection Committee.
"Over the past several years, we've established an online approach that allows nominees to submit their awards questionnaires and judges—who are selected from a variety of corporate sectors—to submit their evaluations. Because of this configuration, CIMG has found it simple to keep up the standards and integrity of its demanding procedure.
To preserve relevancy and to add excitement to the CIMG awards, he said, "We will continue to assess and integrate new aspects."
The purpose of the CIMG Annual National Marketing Performance Awards is to recognise corporate brands and unique individuals who excelled throughout the year under review. Since its establishment in 1990, the CIMG Honors have established itself as one of the most distinguished and enduring local awards in Ghana (for the 1989 financial year).
