? GH¢24.2 million recuperated as expense liabilities under RACE drive - Finance Ministry
The Finance Ministry has had the option to recover an amount of GH¢24.2 million as expense liabilities under recuperation from some Oil Marketing Companies and a business bank working in the country.
As per a Joy Business report, the sum, which was recovered under the Revenue Assurance, Compliance and Enforcement (RACE) drive follows approval of expense commitments implied for the lifting of refined oil based commodities.
The Finance Ministry expressed faculty under RACE have finished up their most memorable period of commitment with 99 out of 177 Oil Marketing Companies in the country.
The commitment was to approve the assessment installments for the lifting of refined oil based commodities sold in the country.
Key partners which took part in the commitment incorporated the Ghana Revenue Authority, Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMCs), National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and a few ads banks working in the country.
In the interim, government under the RACE drive has gathered a duty responsibility of GH¢62 million against a business bank out of which GH¢14.3 million has so far been recuperated.
Likewise, the drive has recuperated about GH¢9.9 million from some Oil Marketing Companies working in the country.
