In preparation for Liverpool's Champions League match against Napoli, Thiago Alcântara has given the Reds a big boost by returning to full training.

This week, Thiago resumed full training at Kirkby, and he is scheduled to fly to Italy with the Liverpool team ahead of the match on Wednesday at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Since limping off in the season's first Premier League match against Fulham on August 6, the Spaniard hasn't played for the Reds.

After suffering his own hamstring injury in the team's recent victory over Newcastle, Jordan Henderson, Liverpool's captain, is expected to miss the entirety of next month.

Henderson is anticipated to be out for three weeks, which would put his Liverpool comeback at the home game against Brighton on October 1.

Tell the world that Thiago is back...

However, one midfielder returns while another gets injured.

What a relief for Klopp during this difficult moment for Liverpool. How they missed Thiago's brilliance during the early stages of the season, when their midfield resources were already at their limit. Henderson's absence made the return of the Spaniard all the more welcome.

The return of Thiago to Liverpool's training sessions has given manager Jürgen Klopp a huge boost before their Champions League start on Wednesday.

The Reds will play their first European group-stage match of the season against Luciano Spalletti's team in Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

And with captain and key midfielder Jordan Henderson sidelined until October due to injury, Thiago's comeback is a huge boost for the Premier League team.

Spanish midfielder Thiago hasn't played a single minute since being substituted after 50 minutes of Liverpool's season opener against Fulham on August 6.

Currently, Liverpool is dealing with an injury crisis, particularly in the middle of the field.

All of Henderson's teammates, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Fabio Carvalho are out, along with Calvin Ramsay, Ibrahima Konate, and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Curtis Jones hasn't played a single minute since the Community Shield.

Although there are no promises Thiago will start in Naples, if he is, Klopp's choices in the middle of the park are improved.

Harvey Elliott, a teenager, and James Milner, a 36-year-old veteran, have been obliged to fill in during the most recent games.
