The Chairman of the JOSPONG Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has been urged by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akufo Dampare to look past the difficulties and criticism the companies face and remain committed to offering innovative solutions to the problems facing the country.
The IGP made this announcement while praising God with the JOSPONG Group of Companies on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Nmai-Dzorn near Ashaley-Botwe in Accra.
Dr. Dampare urged the Chairman of the JOSPONG Group of Companies to brush aside unwarranted criticism and stay focused on whatever he is doing to meet the country's most pressing needs while speaking as the Guest of Honor on the theme "Celebrating God Goodness" in his address.
The IGP praised the JSPONG GROUP for its years of dedication to bringing novel developmental interventions and for continuing to commit his work to God, but he also criticised Christians for their inability to put what he called "theoretical Christianity" into practise.
He declared, "We have come very far," adding that the long-standing principle of devotion to God had not only elevated Dr. Agyepong to the status of a prayerful Christian but also translated his efforts into fruitful endeavours.
Dr. Dampare found it extremely difficult to comprehend why Ghana has continued to be the way it is when there are 70% Christians overall in the nation.
He lamented the fact that Christians who would take advantage of any opportunity in the church were becoming more and more opposed to converting theory into practise.
He said that the existing position of the nation in the scheme of global developments has been accounted for by theoretical Christianity.
He said that Ghana's status as a consumer nation hasn't helped her at all, especially since the nations it started out with have advanced in terms of development.
He criticised why people have focused so much on the theoretical side of Christianity, which has slowed down both individual personalities and the country as a whole.
The IGP stated that the circumstance had destroyed the best aspect of the person, harming future generations.
Dr. Dampare emphasised that if you can think about eating after prayer, then not everything is prayer.
The Psalm 66:16 passage served as the focal point of the weeklong thanksgiving service, which had the subject of "Celebrating God's Goodness."
The event drew notable figures, including the former chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Ghana Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, the former general secretary of the Church of Pentecost, Ghana Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah (rtd), the former inspector general of police, with Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and his entourage serving as the special guest of honour, as well as former and current members of Parliament, chiefs, and the queen mother.
