The top 25 players whose market value increased as a result of the World Cup have been revealed, with THREE players worth more than €100 million.
Transfermarkt has identified and ranked the players whose market values have risen as a result of the Qatar tournament.
"The World Cup is a showcase for players with the entire world's attention on it," Transfermarkt's head of international Christian Schwarz explained.
"We only paid attention to players who demonstrated significant improvement and/or received international attention, which will ultimately lead to increased interest in the transfer market - as a result, this World Cup market value update will only include upgrades."According to their findings, Kylian Mbappe tops the list after starring for France and scoring eight goals. He has been valued at a whopping €180 million.
Only England's Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka have a market value in the nine figures. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, is worth €110 million more than Saka.
Aurelien Tchouameni, Mbappe's international teammate, is worth €90 million. Croatia's Josko Gvardiol is the most valuable defender at €75 million, ahead of Morocco's Achraf Hakimi, who is worth €70 million.The top ten are Theo Hernandez, Cristian Romero, Cody Gakpo, and Dayot Upamecano, who are all worth €60 million.
Enzo Fernandez's market value increased from €35 million to €55 million, making him the year's largest market value winner.
Other World Cup stars include Alexis MacAllister, Randal Kolo Muani, Goncalo Ramos, Emiliano Martinez, and Sofyan Amrabat.
