According to the Ghana Premier League, Mudasiru Salifu has been temporarily loaned out by Asante Kotoko to Al Batin FC of the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

The midfielder, who joined Sherrif Tiraspol in July of last year, enjoyed a good loan stint there before joining Al Batin for the balance of the 2022–23 campaign.

The 25-year-old midfielder has the possibility to be signed by Al Batin on a long-term basis if he performs well during his brief stay.

Salifu played in 21 matches for Sherrif in all leagues, including the Moldovan League, UEFA Champions League qualifying, UEFA Europa League playoff, and Europa League group stages.

With just a point after 11 rounds of games, Al Batin are now in last place in the Saudi Pro League, and improvement will be needed with the signing of Salifu.

Salifu joins former Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah as the second Ghanaian player to play for Al Batin from July 2021 until January 2022.

Asante Kotoko, have confirmed Christopher Nettey's departure.

Right-back Christopher Nettey has left Asante Kotoko after his contract expired, the team has confirmed.

A crucial part of the club, the 24-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2019 after graduating from the Attram de Visser Academy.

Nettey appeared in practically all the games last season, which was crucial in helping the Reds win their 24th Premier League championship.

His first call-up to the Black Stars came in November 2020 following Harrison Afful's withdrawal due to injury for a pair of 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan.

He made his AFCON 2021 qualifying debut at Cape Coast Sports Stadium against Sudan, starting as right back as Ghana defeated Sudan 2-0.

Nettey is currently without a club, however Hearts of Oak are interested in hiring him, therefore he is anticipated to sign with a Premier League team shortly.

He formerly played on loan for Accra Great Olympics.
