Results

43,742 applicants who registered for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2022 are included in the provisional results made public by WAEC.

There are 23,578 women and 20,164 men in the entrance figure. Two (2) of the applicants had hearing impairment, whereas 76 (seventy-six) had vision impairment.

"The results of 901 applicants who are allegedly implicated in several examination misconduct instances have been withheld until the outcome of the malpractice investigations.

These include, among other things, impersonation, collusion, inviting outside help into the exam room, and using mobile phones and other alien objects.

According to the findings of the investigations, "the results of candidates who have been concealed will be disclosed or revoked," the statement added.

Caution

The council said, "Candidates are to notice that WAEC's results database is well-secured and all results can be validated. Candidates are to be on the lookout for fraudsters who contact candidates with the promise of improving their results for a price made through mobile money transfers.

Thus, it is encouraged that institutions and organisations either utilise the online confirmation/verification service at the WAEC website or check or verify the findings that WAEC has directly delivered to them.

The council stated in a statement that it wanted to thank all parties involved for helping to make the test, script marking, and results announcement go well.
