Tema Polyclinic Receives an Ultrasound Equipment from Tobinco Pharmaceuticals

The installation of an ultrasound scanning device has allowed the Tema Polyclinic's maternity unit to exhale with ease.

The top-notch equipment, which Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Ltd fully funded in response to a request from the hospital's administration, would aid in reducing the number of maternal fatalities.

According to the Tema Polyclinic's administration, the facility's maternity unit, which sees at least 40 to 50 patients each day, has been under a great deal of stress for the past few years as a result of its inability to do scans for pregnant women who come to the facility.

They assert that as a result, there has been a reduction in income creation because the majority of expectant women would select alternative healthcare facilities.

In certain circumstances, pregnant women during their prenatal will prefer to sit at home until their due date, which may be a big problem when it is their due day. They can have their scan and antenatal at the Polyclinic.

Tobinco Pharmaceutical Ltd donated multipurpose ultrasound scanning equipment to the hospital in honor of its 60th anniversary after the hospital administration requested assistance from the corporation.

Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited's Dr. Christopher Mensah noted that although the business had assisted with the polyclinic's anniversary celebrations, the donation of an ultrasound machine to the facility was meant to strengthen their already-existing relationship and to reaffirm the principles and values of the organization, which is run by Elder Nana Amo Tobbin I.

The Medical Superintendent of the Polyclinic, Dr. Lenusia Ahlijah, who was beaming with joy as she accepted the ultrasound equipment on behalf of the hospital, could not contain her delight at the generosity from Tobinco Pharmaceuticals.

She said that the support from Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited will not only help the hospital make more cash but will also improve healthcare services at the polyclinic, where she claimed the facility had struggled for years without a multi-purpose ultrasound scanning machine.
