Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III, the paramount chief of Asere, a region of the Ga State, has made plans to establish an educational fund to aid in the growth of young people under his paramountcy.
According to Nii Amashie III, education is the main driver of growth and the best approach to giving people the chance to live up to their potential.
He believed that the youth should receive help in all areas since they will be the nation's future leaders. This support should be given to them not just so they may fulfill their own goals but also so the nation can flourish and develop.
Recently, I noticed on social media that a young guy named Tagoe who was enrolled in medical school required assistance to finish his studies.
He is from Asere, as indicated by his name.
"We would thus be able to assist such individuals for the advancement of Asere and the nation at large through the Asere Educational Fund," he stated.
During a meeting with several elders at the Asere stool house near Bukom in Accra, the Asere Mantse revealed this in a media engagement.
Nii Amashie III, a Paramount Chief who had recently been elevated to that position by the Ga Mantse's King Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, took the initiative to establish an educational fund.
The Ga Mantse promoted the Asere Mantse to the position of the supreme chief with six other chiefs.
The remaining are the Gbese, Sempe, Otublohum, Akanmadjen, Nii Ayikai III, Nii Dodoo Nsaki II, and Nii Dodoo Nsaki III Mantse. Following the amending of the Chieftaincy (Membership of the Regional House of Chiefs) Instrument, colorful L.I. 2409, they were recently introduced to the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs at Dodowa during a colorful ceremony and will soon become members of the House.
Unity
According to Nii Amashie III, Asere has been beset by internal strife, miscommunication, and a lack of unity for many years despite being one of the largest divisions of the Ga State with extensive ice territory.
A scenario like that, he claimed, has hampered the growth and advancement of the Asere people.
He argued that it was time for Asere and the whole Ga state to band together, forge a new course, and concentrate on matters relating to human welfare and development.
