Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the minister of information, has urged international institutions to help address how recent global crises have affected Africa.
He asserted that international organizations urgently needed to devise fresh, successful strategies for assisting the most severely impacted nations in quickly recovering from current difficulties.
Speaking in New Delhi at the Raisina Dialogue 2023, Mr. Nkrumah claimed that many African nations were suffering from heavy debt loads and difficult economic conditions as a result of the incidents. He called for the assistance of international partners in debt restructuring as well as initiatives to lessen the impact of fuel and food prices on their citizens.

The G-20 common framework for debt handling is one of the methods that currently exist, and it is a start in the right direction. Yet they must move quickly if we want to stop the struggling economies from losing more ground. The international institutions need to take a second look and step up their efforts to support the recovery of these most severely affected economies in Africa and Asia.
"Imposing sanctions and denouncing Russia is acceptable on the fronts of peace and security." Yet it may serve us better if the UN will hasten its attempts at changes so it can be more successful in preventing or better responding to copycat crises throughout the world.
We in Africa are concerned because we take a particularly hard hit. We are supporters of multilateralism. "Yet it must be successful in helping us react more forcefully to crises of this kind that significantly affect us," he added.
Other nations, such as India and Slovenia, who favor changes for a speedier impact, backed Ghana's viewpoint.
The Raisina Dialogue is an international meeting aimed at examining answers to current global concerns. It is held yearly in New Delhi, India, and brings together foreign ministers and other government representatives to create new tools for world leadership.
This year's conference was centered on the theme "Navigating the New Normal: Multi-Literalism in a Post-COVID World".
