A foundation has been established with the goal of empowering and assisting women in realizing their full potential.
The organization, dubbed "The Pride of a Woman," aims to improve the social and economic standing of women and children in society by organizing counseling sessions, crusades, and conferences on a local and global scale.
Additionally, the foundation seeks to address some of the social vices that affect women and children in society through teaching and preaching the Bible.
The charity also aims to support orphanage homes and offer job training to those who are economically and socially challenged.
Concept
Seminars, workshops, skill development, and outreach to jails and rehabilitation facilities, among other methods, will be used to carry out its aims.
The foundation's founder and president, Reverend Abigail Kyeremeh, said during the recent launch in Accra that although there had been an increase in the number of women in leadership roles, many women still encountered significant difficulties daily in obtaining and maintaining leadership positions because of problems like gender bias, discrimination, and restricted access to opportunities and resources.
To advance gender equality and guarantee that women have an equal voice in representation in all walks of life in our society, she stated, "It is essential to address these challenges."
Therefore, according to Rev. Kyeremeh, the foundation's fundamental idea is to assist women in realising their God-given potential and in shaping and utilising it for the advancement of their communities and civilizations.
She said that this was the case because only by enforcing gender parity and the economic empowerment of women could a robust social economic system flourish in the nation and throughout Africa.
Inspiration
According to Rev. Kyeremeh, her life experiences—both the good and the bad—inspired her to start the organisation.
"Experiences I had while interacting with young women, in a bid to understand why they engage in ungodly behaviours in their pursuit of material things; ending them in prostitution, lesbianism, alcoholism, early marriages, and smoking, motivated me to conceive the vision of Pride of a Woman," she said.
Therefore, Rev. Kyeremeh urged women to organize themselves through networking to support one another and exchange experiences, best practices, and success stories to scale them, and then copy and paste them.
Because my success is your success because it makes it easier for other women to take the lead, she stated, "I see myself as representing these aspirations and expectations of women everywhere."
"As women, there is some level of discrimination to overcome because of our gender, no matter where we come from, so it is imperative that we work together and, in doing so, strengthen and uplift women everywhere," she continued.
rely on God
In a brief lecture, Apostle Dr. Paulina Osei Paarko, a minister with the Favour of God Evangelical Church, advised Christians to constantly throw their concerns to the Lord since he is the only one with the authority to save and protect them.
