According to Board Chair Professor Audrey Gadzekpo, the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), a think tank for governance, would continue to collaborate with pertinent stakeholders to strengthen democracy and good governance in the nation.
She emphasised that the CDD-Ghana will make every effort to achieve inclusion by including political actors, parties, and other stakeholders in all actions and programmes geared towards accomplishing this goal.
This was said by Prof. Gadzekpo in a statement she gave last Thursday in Accra to kick off CDD-25th Ghana's anniversary celebration.
"Civil Society in the Quest for Democracy and Inclusive Development in Ghana and Africa: The Future 25 Years" was the subject of the conference.

To commemorate the organization's 25th anniversary, a year-long schedule of events was unveiled during the ceremony. Through its public opinion polls and other primary research over the past 25 years, CDD-Ghana has given voice to everyday citizens in Ghana and the rest of Africa. The organisation was founded in July 1998 to promote democracy, good governance, and inclusive development in Ghana and the rest of Africa.
With its social accountability programmes, among other goals, it has also enlightened and empowered local communities and residents to demand responsibility from public authorities.
Prof. Gadzekpo stated: "The organisation will continue to engage with them to expand the understanding of the issues even if its actions over the years had been marked by occasional controversies, particularly when its research conclusions do not go in favour of political parties.

She said that CDD-Ghana has gained prominence and clout over the years, with a clear goal of interfering in matters of governance in order to further the development of the nation's democracy for the sake of everyone.
Although other organisations were established before our institution, they are not as well-known as CDD-Ghana, she said, adding that it is "today I will claim that CDD-Ghana is regarded the foremost think-tank on governance issues in Ghana."
She emphasised that "one of the significant contributions of CDD-Ghana is the setting up of the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) to monitor our elections." "CDD-Ghana has been at the forefront of many governance issues, particularly to make sure that there is a quality electoral democracy," she said.
