In advance of this year's World Malaria Day commemoration, a pharmaceutical business, Bliss GVS Pharma Ghana, gave antimalarial medications and other necessary medicines worth GH300,000 to three local hospitals.

The gift is also consistent with the business's "ACT for Africa" initiative, which aims to eradicate malaria from the continent.

Beneficiaries

The Ho Teaching Hospital, Tamale Teaching Hospital, and Upper West Regional Hospital are the beneficiary healthcare facilities.

Bliss GVS Pharma Ghana representatives Ibrahim Mumuni Seidu and Kwame Kumi spoke on behalf of the organization and reaffirmed the company's dedication to providing high-quality medications for Ghana's healthcare system.

We've been fighting malaria for a long time, and we think this gift will help lessen the disease burden in the long term in these regions," stated Ibrahim.

For his part, Mr. Kumi stated, "The business will continue to provide in other locations the artemisinin-based combination goods, including the LONART range, P-ALAXIN, and GSUNATE, as part of the contribution to battle the illness and offer those in need access to high-quality pharmaceuticals."

Responses

"This contribution is timely and will contribute to long-term help for malaria eradication efforts in the affected areas," said Dr. Robert Amesiya, Medical Director of the Upper West Regional Hospital, who accepted the medications on behalf of the hospital. We are grateful for Bliss GVS Pharma's visit and gift, and we thank them.

Dr. Salifu Tiah, Director of Pharmacy, who accepted the contribution on behalf of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, said that the donation from the previous year had a beneficial impact on the hospital's provision of healthcare.

Wisdom Adzaku, the pharmacy manager of the internal medicine subBMC at Ho Teaching Hospital, also expressed thanks for the contribution and said it would be very helpful to the hospital in providing high-quality healthcare to Volta Region residents.

Health lectures at the Community Health Nursing Training College in Tamale and the Ho Nurses Training College were held after the gifts.
