With the assistance of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Ghana, headed by His Excellency Amer Jamil Alalawi, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, founder and group chairman of the Afro Arab Group of Companies, has donated food goods and secret cash to the Ayawaso Council of Zongo Chiefs.

The gifts are a part of his extra charitable outreach to Muslims during Ramadan, when the Islamic community observes a 30-day fast.

The Chiefs were given assurances by Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, who is also Ghana's Youth Ambassador for Peace and Development for the Zongo and Inner Cities, that he would use the blessings that the Almighty Allah had bestowed upon him to bring development and, most importantly, help the Zongo and Inner Cities overcome poverty.

He promised to make good use of the blessings to support the growth of Zongo communities around the nation and to fight poverty.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu's generosity during the month of Ramadan were deeply appreciated, said Chief Seidu Louis, the acting chairman of the Ayawaso Council of Zongo Chiefs. He also asked for prayers from the Almighty Allah to inspire the young philanthropist to do more for the Zongo communities.

Abdul Fatahu, the mayor of Nima, has suggested that he will go house to house to inform people in the Zongos about the effort from Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu and the Afro Arab Group.

He also stated that he would support the first Sustainable Development Goal of the United Nations.

It addresses poverty and notes that all other SDGs will be achieved after poverty is eradicated.

For the first time in 36 years, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu made history last week by delivering an ultra-modern bathroom he built for the home where he was born and raised.

In order for the Afro Arab Group to build the toilet facility for them to pay for in flexible payment plans without interest, he asked every family in the Zongo Communities that requires a toilet facility to get in touch with them.
