Three out of the four people who failed to register their property and income have had their cases against them dropped after the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) submitted a nolle prosequi.
The three were prosecuted for failing to declare their assets because the OSP is conducting a lifestyle audit on them.
Asset disclosure following a charge
The Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP) has concluded its legal action against the three as a result of their submission of their asset declaration forms after the prosecution's launch.
Therefore, the Ghana News Agency's (GNA) reports have been released by the High Court in Accra.
The officials include John Abban, a vice president's office employee named James Keck Osei, and senior customs official Peter Archibald Hyde.
However, a fourth person, Issah Seidu, a different public employee, is still in court for failing to declare property and income.
On April 19, 2023, the Office of the Special Prosecutor entered nolle prosequi to end the prosecution of three of the four defendants.
The trial was ended since all three parties had cooperated with the order by this point.
Investigations are still ongoing in the main case.
The court case has been postponed to May 11, 2023, so that Issah Seidu, the first accused party, can enter a plea to the new charge sheet.
The Special Prosecutor detained and charged the four individuals, consisting of three public employees and one member of the civil service.

It came after the Special Prosecutor conducted a lifestyle audit on the defendants and requested that they disclose the sources of their various sources of income.
They were accused by the Special Prosecutor of violating L.I. 2374's rule 20 for neglecting to comply and reveal their sources of income.
James Keck Osei is an administrator for the Office of the Vice President, while Issah Seidu works for the National Insurance Commission (NIC).
Senior officers in the Ghana Revenue Authority's (GRA) Customs Division include John Abban and Peter Archibald Hyde.
