Real Madrid to close Bellingham deal for between €100M to €120M, confirms Romano
An agreement for Jude Bellingham to join Real Madrid is ‘imminent’ according to news coming out of the Spanish capital.
Jude Bellingham's transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid is almost complete, according to Jose Felix Diaz of Marca, who is their top Real Madrid correspondent. They emphasize that although the agreement hasn't been finalized, Bellingham's decision to play for Los Blancos has caused Manchester City and Liverpool to give up on signing him.
Dortmund were keen to receive €140m for Bellingham, but Los Blancos will not go above the €100-120m they have set aside for the deal. Logically, the fee would be on the upper end of that figure.
Bellingham is also likely to earn less than he would have in the Premier League. Los Blancos recently sent an emissary to Germany in order to convince Bellingham that following in the footsteps of his idol Zinedine Zidane was the right choice.
Later, Romano tweeted: "Real Madrid are close to finalizing the signing of Jude Bellingham, confirmed. The last rounds of the negotiations are already being reached.
Personal terms are nearly settled – Juni Calafat is again essential.
The agreement with Borussia Dortmund will be finalized at a new meeting that has been set.
Real Madrid want to complete the Bellingham deal this month, just like they did with Tchouaméni, in order to avoid any last-minute changes of heart. The young midfielder has been making strides in the world of football with top top performances for his club team borrusia dortmund and thought those performances he was given captaincy of the Dortmund squad in the absence of Marco Reus and also in the World Cup the youngster put up wonderful performances during the tournament with top class performances against world class sides but they were unfortunately knocked out of the competition and with this performances he has earned his big move to Real Madrid.
