In order to support efficient justice delivery in the district, the Chief Justice, Justice Anin Yeboah, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, jointly opened a contemporary circuit court in Kyekyewere/Nsuaem at Assin South in the Central Region.
The building, which was financed by the Common Fund, has a judge's home as well as a solar-powered borehole.
The registrar's office, ICT room, bailiffs' office, and a standby generator are further auxiliary facilities.
Admonition
The judicial staff members who will be assigned to the court were warned by Justice Yeboah to maintain it neatly and promptly.
The Chief Justice was praised by Rev. Fordjour, who also serves as the deputy minister of education, for initiating judicial reforms to advance efficient justice delivery in the nation.
He expressed gratitude to the Apimanim and Atandansu Traditional Councils for allocating land for the construction.
Acknowledgment
Rev. Fordjour commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's significant investment in the administration of justice and vowed to keep pushing for more development initiatives "for the good people of Assin South."
In a message read in her honor by the District Coordinating Director, Kwasi Awuku, Felicia Ntrakwah Amissah, the Chief Executive of the Assin South District, acknowledged the contribution of her predecessor, who had begun construction on the facility before she and Rev. Fordjour arrived and finished it.
In order to be commissioned by His Lordship Chief Justice Anin Yeboah, she added, "That is why we are here today witnessing this hallmark achieved by the current NPP government."
In addition, she encouraged the officers of the Ghana Police Service to refer the proper cases to the court instead of going to Assin Fosu or Cape Coast so that justice may be served effectively and promptly.
In the same way, she said, "Let's use the court for good by letting justice run its course."
