Rev. Michael Offei Ayesu, Senior Pastor of the House of Prayer Assemblies of God (A/G), has been appointed Regional Superintendent of the A/G Greater Accra West.

At the Liberty Centre Assemblies of God in Accra on Saturday, Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam, the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, officially welcomed him.

Rev. Charles Koomson, the pastor in charge of the House of Mercy A/G, and Rev. Humphrey Henry Hagan, the head pastor of the A/G Prevailing Centre, were both sworn in as the region's regional secretary and treasurer, respectively.

The Executive Committee members for the A/G Greater Accra West were also out on the occasion.

Hymns and other religious customs were intermingled throughout the service.

Prayers were offered for the inductees to obtain heavenly insight and talents to elevate the region's concerns.

Charge Rev. Dr. Wengam urged Christian leaders to demonstrate holiness in all of their deeds, stating that it was a sign of a strong leader.

He exhorted Christian leaders to uphold their integrity and fear God, citing the biblical example of Job, who led a righteous life and detested sin.

He continued by saying that Christians should reject wickedness and reflect virtue with contentment.

"When you are holy, God's blessings make you affluent; you don't need to amass bribes to be wealthy."

"When you are holy, God will erect a barrier around you; this barrier cannot be breached until God gives the go-ahead."

"You'll be protected in a mystical way," he said.

Induction

For the upcoming four years, Rev. Dr. Wengam ordered Rev. Ayesu to administrate and oversee the several districts in Accra West by seeking the face of God.

He warned him that he would face criticism, both constructive and destructive, and counseled him to be ready for it.

He further exhorted him to pay close attention to the Assemblies of God's transformation plan, which aims to reach, rebuild, reform, restore, reposition, and rebrand the church in order to change, grow, and transform it.

"Only at a time of peace and harmony can an organization flourish. If you want to see the future, you must first achieve regional unity; therefore, don't be afraid to lead the way.

"I advise you to set up procedures to achieve this."

Your capacity to utilize the resources of the congregations and individuals who support your mission will determine how far you advance, he stated.
