Francis Essel-Okyeahene, the chief executive officer of Onua Francis International School and Young Executive School, honored 20 people last Sunday for their various contributions to the promotion of education in the Gomoa East District and the Awutu Senya East municipality, both in the Central Region.
Awardees
Emmanuel Bonney of the Daily Graphic and Seth Ankomah Adjei of Adom FM/TV are both media professionals.
Faustina Mensah, Grace Buckman, Choice Gbologba, Yaa Antwiwaa Boadi, Jerome Antwi Amoabeng, Kobina Akornor, Eric Lamptey, Edna Ankobea, and Eunice Addo are the other members of the teaching and non-teaching staff at both institutions.
Moses Fanbulley, Latif Umar, Michael Anseeku, Dorcas Doe, Eric Bayare Natoutti, Michael Zanu, Peter Kyeremeh, Ransford Lartey, and Samuel Asamoah make up the remaining group.
The winners, who were acknowledged during Mr. Essel-Okyeahene's 60th birthday celebration, received gifts such as mobile phones, flat-screen televisions, four-burner gas ranges, laptop computers, and refrigerators.
Mr. Essel-Okyeahene received citations from the Awutu Senya East Municipal and Gomoa East District education directorates, as well as from people and personnel from the YES and Onua Francis schools, for his commitment to the provision of high-quality education in the nation.
They praised him for his vision in creating the two institutions to offer education to the residents of the Awutu Senya East and Gomoa East areas, among other things.
Francisca Esi Degraft Johnson, the Gomoa East District Education Director, and the Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Director each took turns.
Faustina Alimatu Braimah expressed her gratitude to Mr. Essel-Okyeahene for his efforts in the field of education.
Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, a deputy minister of education, said in a speech during the event that the owner deserved praise for building a sizable education infrastructure that had made it possible for many children in the nation to have access to school.
Additionally, he said that the two schools were extremely distinctive and distinguished by their supply of teaching and learning materials, information and communication technology facilities, student discipline, academic quality, and motivation of both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
He declared that the government would continue to foster an atmosphere that would allow the private sector to flourish in education and other fields.
For his part, Mr. Essel-Okyeahene praised the Almighty God for his accomplishments of 60 years and how far He had carried him, especially with the education of youngsters.
It is by the grace of God because some of us passed through difficulties before getting to where we are now."
He exhorted everyone to be hopeful regardless of their circumstances and then look to God for a transformation of their lives, saying, "It is by His grace and nothing else."
