According to President Akufo-Addo, his administration is putting up great effort to resolve the nation's chieftaincy and land disputes.
He thinks that is the main reason for the majority of Ghana's internal disputes.
He said, "So far in our governing system, we have not found a satisfactory way of dealing with it," but added that his administration is making every effort to find amicable solutions.
When the Nyelinbolgu Naa, Yakubu Andani Dasana, and other chiefs from the Northern Region's Nanung Traditional Council visited him at the Jubilee House on Tuesday evening, he gave them his word.
The chiefs complained that they were not handed part of their lands and titles that belonged to the Oti Region.
adequate recognition to the point where the kingdom was forced to accept leaders from outside the country.
According to President Akufo-Addo, when lands that have belonged to the public for a long time are not included in the administrative structure to which they belong, it can lead to problems, with dishonest individuals occasionally exploiting this situation to foment further strife and conflict.
He praised the Regent for bringing up the matter as a result, despite the fact that he admitted it to be a nationwide phenomenon rather than exclusive to their customary territory.
The president expressed satisfaction with the peace and security in the region.
He said, "At any one time, my biggest concern is to make sure that there is peace in the area." "I am very happy to hear that."
He claimed it was the reason the government kept providing the police with equipment to uphold law and order while safeguarding people's lives and property.
Even yet, "there are gaps that still need to be filled, and efforts will be made to fill them, and we should have that reassurance that the government will do its best to make sure that the issues of lawlessness in the area are dealt with," he added.
Additionally, President Akufo-Addo promised that the government would address their worries regarding the Bimbila Hospital's expansion to accommodate the growing number of patients as well as requests for the establishment of a local health training facility.
In praise of the President's outstanding dedication to the welfare and advancement of Ghanaians, Naa Andani Dasana said, "We are fortunate to have you as our President, especially in these turbulent times that are largely occasioned by external factors."
According to him, this is because "history has shown that great leaders emerge not from rosy moments but from troubled times."
He expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided to Nanung's residents thus far, particularly the numerous social intervention activities that have improved their lives.
