The Jehovah Jireh Ministry (JJM), a US-based nonprofit organization, has received a donation of 10 acres of land from the chiefs of Oguaa in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region for the purpose of carrying out development projects there.
The contribution is a part of the Oguaa traditional council's development plan, which is being overseen by Oguaahene Nana Obeng Bediako Frimpong.
The region is a rural village; therefore, the goal is to open it up, provide the locals with work, and encourage infrastructure development.
The site will be utilized to build a preschool, a teacher training college, and an empowerment training center to give the locals, notably young moms who have dropped out of school, technical and vocational training.
Empowerment
On Friday, April 7, 2023, Esther Fife, President of JJM, stated her organization has throughout the years been involved in assisting children return to school, delivering hot meals for the homeless, and rehabilitating the poor and drug addicts.
She stated that the ministry has been working with a nearby NGO, Africa Women Rising (AWR), to provide Oguaa SDA school pupils with educational resources.
She said that with the empowerment center about to be established, the ministry will primarily target young moms and school dropouts and train them to develop the skills necessary to become independent.
She expressed her gratitude to the chiefs and residents of Oguaa for their cordial welcome and for releasing land to the Ministry for the initiative to build a school.
Donation
AWR and JJM worked together to provide food products worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the community to help them celebrate Easter.
Boxes of mackerel, bags of rice, and cooking oil were among the given goods. school assignment
Rev. Nana Sekyere, the president of AWR, stated that her organization supports women's empowerment and has long worked with the neighborhood to advance girl education, women's empowerment, and education in general.
She stated that AWR was now funding the education of two local girls, one of whom was attending college.
She said that JJM's decision to support the building of a community school project was made possible by AWR's efforts.
All of these, in her opinion, were designed to provide the community members, especially the females, with more educational authority.
She promised that her group would keep helping the neighborhood, particularly the women and kids, get a good start in life.
