John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress, has said that the people of Ghana—not he—will benefit from the NDC's success.
He explained that it involves building a society where people can live good, dignified lives as well as developing the health care industry so that women won't perish doing their biological obligations.
This was expressed by the former president to party supporters in Tamale, the capital of the northern regional region, during his ceremonial acceptance address.
Mr. Mahama continued by saying that the objective is to safeguard youngsters who have had to endure perilous voyages in order to get an education and to run the nation's economy in a way that does not require government intervention.
to take advantage of middle-class and senior citizens' lifetime investments in Ghana.
"The victory is about raising security and investment for future generations, not just for spending in a day, but about restoring trust once again in institutions and a genuine love and pride in the name Ghana," President Mahama continued.
John Mahama said, "My victory is for Ghanaians."
He claimed that they might be accomplished if all party members supported the NDC in the elections of 2024.
"To do that, we'll need to work together as a team and earn the public's trust through hard work. Therefore, we must continue to be guided and bound together as one people from one big family by the NDC and Ghana's interests, he stated.
The internal competition was declared over by the former president.
"I therefore proclaim the internal race for flagbearership at the University for Development Studies to be finished. You have opted for experience and vision over experimentation, and I have no doubt that Ghanaians will continue to do so in December 2024, putting us back on the path to creating the Ghana that we all desire.
In order to develop a better Ghana and a better NDC, he argued, they must switch the focus from rivalry to collaboration.
"I am requesting cooperation from all elected parliamentary candidates as well as from your supporters and hopefuls. Incumbent lawmakers who lost their primary elections must likewise maintain their composure.
"Due to the excellent work you have done and are now doing, you remain heroes. When the people of Ghana grant us the mandate to once again stir the affairs of this nation, we will need your expertise and talent to complete the difficult task at hand, he pleaded.
He gave the party's losers in the parliamentary elections the assurance that it would continue to make use of their skills and expertise.
Assuring everyone of his openness, open door policy, and determination to lead a government that would be based on merit and competence, Mr. Mahama asked everyone to recommit themselves and their resources to working hard to win the 2024 elections.
