President John Dramani Mahama received sincere congratulations from the NDC-UK/Ireland Chapter today in a news release for winning the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
President Mahama won the primaries with an almost unanimous majority of the vote.
The NDC-UK/Ireland Chapter used the occasion to thank the NDC's national leadership, led by Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, for guaranteeing a fair, open, and peaceful primary process.
It said that the peaceful acceptance of the election results by all parties involved was evidence of the party's dedication to democracy and unification.
The NDC-UK/Ireland Chapter also commended Dr. Kwabena Duffour and Kojo Bonsu, two well-known NDC members who respectfully accepted the verdict in the primary elections. Both individuals vowed to assist the NDC's efforts to win the upcoming 2024 presidential and legislative elections with unshakable dedication to the party's overall goals. According to the press release, Dr. Kwabena Duffour's active involvement in the Kumawu by-election campaign further demonstrates his commitment to the NDC's goals.
The statement continued, "The primaries not only gave the candidates a chance to interact with voters in Ghana, but they also reactivated and energised NDC branches across the nation. The overwhelming support seen during the campaign period had prepared the party for the challenges ahead in the 2024 elections."
According to the NDC-UK/Ireland Chapter, President Mahama is best suited to address Ghana's present economic issues. blame on what they see as the government of President Akufo-Addo's weak leadership.
In light of this belief, the whole NDC-UK/Ireland Chapter membership reiterated their unflinching commitment and unceasing efforts to help the NDC win resoundingly in the elections of 2024. Building a Ghana that is in line with the ambitions and goals of its people is their shared objective.
President John Dramani Mahama was once again congratulated on his historic win by Chairman Alhaji Alhassan Mbalba, who also reaffirmed his trust in his leadership skills and bestowed success wishes on him as he began the trek towards the 2024 elections.
