Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, a member of parliament for South Dayi in the Volta Region, has questioned the allegiance of National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch executives in the Kumawu constituency in the Ashanti Region in light of the results from several polling places in the Kumawu by-election.
The lawmaker stated in a tweet on Tuesday night that the results from some polling stations showed that the NDC candidate, Kwasi Amankwaa, received between three and four votes in some polling stations at the time the Electoral Commission was still compiling polling station results.
In the meantime, the NDC has at least nine members in each polling place who are holding party posts, have their names on the party's register, and are tasked with working to grow the party's membership.
The NDC organises its base through its branches, which stand in for polling places.

In the Kumawu by-election, the NDC candidate should have at least received nine votes from each polling place, according to Mr. Dafeamekpor's logic. However, the results show that the party and candidate only received three to four votes in several polling places.
According to the tweet from Mr. Dafeamekpor at 6:36 PM, he will be a member of the NDC's Ashanti Region Reorganisation Project in 2022. As a result of what has been seen in Kumawu, he is requesting a "re-audit" of the NDC registration and "branch executives."
