In response to a video that has gone viral alleging that one of the service's ambulances was sent to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for sale, the Ghana National Ambulance Service has released a statement.
The Ambulance Service revealed that the car in the video is one of 26 new vehicles the government is purchasing from Dubai in a statement dated Monday, May 29, 2023.
The service denied the assertion made in the audio file that the car had been shipped from Ghana to Dubai for sale and that it was currently in the yard of the car manufacturer, which is getting ready to export it to Ghana.
It is one of 26 Toyota Hiace cars that the government, through the Ministry of Transportation, has in total. "The manufacture is finished, and the ambulances will be sent to Ghana very soon. We thus implore the general public to avoid the video in circulation and the creator's remark, according to a statement from the National Ambulance Service signed by Simmons Yussif Kewura, deputy director of public relations.

Two guys speaking the Twi language captured the aforementioned automobile parked in a yard with other vehicles in Dubai in a video that was uploaded to the social media platform Tiktok.
They claimed to have been at the yard looking for a car to buy when they spotted the Toyota Hiace ambulance with the logo of the Ghana National Ambulance Service.
A copy of the service's statement is provided below.
FALSE CLAIM OF A TOYOTA HIACE AMBULANCE BEING SOLD IN DUBAI ON MAY 29, 2023, AND BEING OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF GHANA
The National Ambulance Service has learned of a viral video that has been going around on social media depicting an ambulance in Dubai that is allegedly being sold in Ghana and belongs to the government of that nation.
We would like to say that;
1. The questioned ambulance is one of the 26 Toyota Hiace ambulances that the government is purchasing through the Ministry of Health with funding from the World Bank.
2. The aforementioned ambulance is located on the company's property, where the ambulances are made.
3. As a result, it is untrue that the ambulance is for sale.
4. The ambulances are finished with the manufacturing process and will shortly be delivered to Ghana.
5. As a result, we implore the general public to ignore the video that is in circulation and any comments made by the film's creator.
I'm grateful.
