Dr. Yayra Dzakadzie, Director of Tertiary Education at the Ministry of Education, has advised freshmen from institutions of education to change with the times in order to be relevant in the country's transformation.

He said that a new era in education was beginning that depended more on technology and critical thinking than merely textbooks.

During this year's Agogo Presbyterian Women's College of Education (APWCE) graduation ceremony last Friday, Dr. Dzakadzie offered counsel.

Graduates

A total of 363 students received degrees from the institution, 146 of whom were in elementary education and 217 of whom were in junior high school education.

According to Dr. Dzakadzie, the diffusion and realignment of knowledge are required for the new era. He urged the graduates to exercise discipline in their pursuit of academic success.

According to the Director of Tertiary Education, "the world requires these qualities at all levels of engagement." He challenged them to be modest, creative, disciplined, and hard workers.

He urged them to utilise their newfound knowledge and abilities wisely so they could live comfortably and accomplish the transformation the world had been waiting for.

Dr. Dzakadzie reassured educational institutions that the government will continue to provide budgetary assistance for infrastructure expansion to achieve high international standards.

Principal

APWCE Principal Rev. Dr. Mrs. Grace Sintim Adasi thanked students, parents, and teachers for their accomplishments. guardians for their hard work and devotion in producing the graduates.

She asked graduates to act as change agents, promote fair access to high-quality education, and speak up for those whose voices have been silenced.

Rev. Dr. Mrs. Adasi urged them to be devoted and steadfast in order to meet every obstacle with confidence and strive for higher goals.

She stated that even though improvements to teaching and learning have been made at the college, much more has to be done.

Appeal

The school's principal begged the government and other stakeholders for help in paving the school's roads, constructing dormitories, science and ICT laboratories, and libraries, as well as the purchase of a standby generator and a school bus.

She also requested assistance to fence the building after discovering that a piece of the school's property had been invaded.

Discipline

Rev. Prof. Seth Asare Danso, a spokesperson from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), underlined the necessity for graduates to be disciplined wherever they are and impose discipline wherever they go.

In order to be competitive in the employment market, he advised them to add value to their training.
