Jadon Sancho has left Manchester United fans confused after appearing to belittle Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of the FA Cup final.

United were beaten 2-1 by rivals Manchester City on Saturday in their first meeting between the two sides at the showcase event at Wembley.

Ilkay Gundogan put City ahead with the fastest final goal in FA Cup history just 13 seconds before Bruno Fernandes equalized from the penalty spot.

Gundogan then scored the second goal of the game after the break to give Premier League champions Man City a win - helping them go on to win the treble, with the Champions League final against Inter Milan set to take place on Tuesday. Seven.

United have struggled to take on Man City at Wembley, with a number of high-profile players putting on disappointing performances in the final game of the season. United winger Sancho failed to make a big impact and was sent off by coach Erik ten Hag after 12 minutes, with Wout Weghorst coming on.

Did Sancho snubbed Ferguson?

Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst spotted the angry interaction between Ten Hag and Sancho before the England international left the pitch.

And United fans have since spotted another suspicious moment involving the England star.

In a viral clip that you can see below, Sancho appears to have ignored United legend Ferguson before the game even started. When United entered Wembley Stadium, Ferguson shook hands with manager Ten Hag for the first time and perhaps wished him well.

Ferguson then shook hands with all the United players except Sancho, although he tried to do so.

It is unclear whether Sancho deliberately avoided Ferguson or did not know about the Scottish player.

While it makes sense for Sancho to simply not spot Ferguson while focusing on the game ahead, the incident has angered some United supporters on social media.

“Why did Sancho ignore him?” a fan asked on Twitter. Advertisement

Another added:

"Sancho ignored him and dropped out of the disaster class."

A third post:

"Sancho didn't shake hands?"

While the fourth person simply writes:

"Sell Sancho."

The Telegraph's Northern football correspondent James Ducker believes Sancho is currently on "loan time" at United - comparing his lackluster performance in the final to the bridge's delightful late arrival substitute for Alejandro Garnacho.

"The 18-year-old Argentinian represents the future of United. The proof is that Sancho does not," Ducker wrote.

"At 23, Sancho is no longer a promising teenager. Those days are over and for £73m he has much more to do," added Ducker. "He is on loan and if anyone makes an acceptable offer this summer - even if it is difficult to know who is who and will involve earning a push big - then you have to wonder if Ten Hag was tempted to take the money and run away.
