Ilkay Gundogan gave City the lead after just 12 SECONDS, the fastest goal ever scored in an FA Cup Final, and the spectacle got underway in historic manner.


After beginning on cloud nine, though, City supporters were incensed 13 minutes later when Casemiro avoided receiving a red card for allegedly stamping Manuel Akanji.


Before the half, Jack Grealish was brutally ruled to have handled in the area, allowing Bruno Fernandes to tie the score from the spot and infuriating the crowd even more.


But after Victor Lindelof was injured by an object thrown by a fan while celebrating the goal, it was United players who were incensed.


Soon after the break, Gundogan raked City back into the lead as the action continued to pick up speed. 



As they secured the Double, the score remained 2-1.

Only Inter Milan in the Champions League Final the following week stands between them and an unprecedented Triple.

However, as they were celebrating the Double, BBC cameras captured Ten Hag entering the field of play after the whistle, removing a bit of gum from his lips, and tossing it to the ground.

Despite the fact that players frequently engage in it while playing, a number of viewers rushed to Twitter to express their anger at the Dutchman.

"Pick your chewing gum up Ten Hag you mucky t***," one person wrote. Don't let a cleaner or anybody else walk on it or pick it up.



I know there are more important things to focus on at Wembley, but I really wish Ten Hag wouldn't throw his chewing gum on the field, a another fan wrote. #FilthyHabit.”

An additional person wrote: "Could always stick it on his head lol #badloser #filthyhabit #chewinggum #ManchesterUnited #FACupFinal."

Ten Hag remarked after the game: "We are broken, unhappy of course, but I said I am proud of my squad. He was also made fun of for not having time to open his chewing gum packet before the deadlock was broken.

Although we gave up two soft goals, we still managed to stay in the game. Both the attitude and organization were excellent.
