Following Manchester United's loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup final, Bruno Fernandes has criticized his teammates for being "too soft."

On Saturday afternoon at Wembley Stadium, United fell short of their fierce rivals in the championship game of the cup, 2-1.

Ilkay Gundogan scored the game's first goal after just 13 seconds, but Red Devils captain Fernandes tied the score from the penalty spot before Gundogan scored the game's winning goal just after halftime.

Additionally, the Portuguese midfielder, 28, claimed that United had failed on the day in question and questioned why his fellow stars had not been 'tighter' to Gundogan prior to the latter's second goal.

He stated, "We started out poorly but came back into the game and had decent spells on the ball in the first half.

We had some terrific counters after we scored, but we were unable to capitalize. After we gave up early in the second half, we still had chances to score again, but we didn't, and City earned the victory.

The first goal was a beautiful strike, but we were too soft and gave up too much room. It's a tremendous strike, but perhaps tighter players could stop it.

The opening goal by Gundogan was the quickest ever scored in an FA Cup final.

The City captain ran past the United midfield, which allowed him to volley in from outside the penalty area.

When Jack Grealish was controversially given a penalty for handball, Fernandes equalized from the spot before Gundogan volleyed home from the edge of the area after being found by a Kevin

after being located by a Kevin De Bruyne free kick, from the edge of the box.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, shared Fernandes' annoyance at the goals they gave up at Wembley.

We played really well, he said, but we did allow two soft goals to keep us in the game. Both the attitude and organization were excellent.

They were difficult goals because they were soft and preventable. It is impressive for the team when they play against City and give up nearly no goals in the open play, but it is upsetting when they give up scores like this.
