Aaron Ramsdale and Fabio Vieira, teammates at Arsenal, have both announced they are expecting their first child with their respective partners, only weeks after ending a wild Premier League season on a high note.
Just hours after midfielder Vieira and partner Carina Raquel also announced their pregnancy to the public, goalkeeper Ramsdale and his fiancée, Georgina Irwin, confirmed their news via a touching, emotional social media video yesterday.
In a video that Ramsdale shared on Instagram, a positive test is shown on top of a baby outfit that has the words "I love you so much Daddy" sweetly sewn on it.
After receiving the good news, the video tape showed him beaming before sprinting across the room to jump across the bed and embrace Georgina. The couple and the bump then posed for the camera when a picture of their baby's ultrasound was presented.
The 25-year-old, who had a strong season in goal for Mikel Arteta's team, scribbled the caption: "Half of me, half of you." Little Ramsdale.
Meanwhile, Vieira is also about to become a parent for the first time.
He posted a picture of himself and his expectant partner on social media to his hundreds of millions of fans to similarly reveal the news.
Vieira wrote, "The greatest adventure of our lives." We are eager to meet you.
Ramsdale received the heartwarming news after proposing to Georgina on one knee in August against the backdrop of a romantic hotel trip.
The former Sheffield United and Bournemouth player posted pictures of his partner walking into a room decorated with flowers, balloons, and images of the couple.
Additionally, Ramsdale had written the phrase "Marry me?" in bold characters all over the space.
Vieira initially showed up on Carina's Instagram profile in the summer of 2021, but it is unknown when they started dating.
On a Maldives beach, the couple had taken the time to pose for a kiss.
Despite leading the eventual champions Manchester City for much of the season, Arsenal finished second in the top flight last year.
Vieira played in 33 games overall while Ramsdale participated in 41 games across all competitions, including every game in the Premier League.
Ramsdale, an England international, has continued to experience excellent news after recently agreeing to a new, long-term contract at the Emirates.
